Reflection

Portrait photography is my favourite kind of photography. I do enjoy taking pictures of flowers or landscape, but for me nothing is like someone face, eyes and smile. Especially if those belong to one of my precious four little ones. I do not get as much posing from them as I would like to, but here is Little Miss Aby posing the glasses she got at school. She loves them, and I think they also reflect her sweet and cheerful self. And her eyes just reflect the blue skye.

The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them. Thomas Merton

Another week of rain here. I see my garden lonely. The children's toys lay on the floor, looking sad, they seem to miss the children. The football lies in one corner, the trampoline has no one jumping on. Spring does not really look Spring. It's so cold too. But then I notice the tree in the corner has little flower buds coming up. I needed to change my attitude. Nature is enjoying the rain, the grass is celebrating. I had to see with different eyes. How beautiful it was. Just a change of perspective!

Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.  Marcus Aurelius
